Jenny and Mathew's Broadmoor wedding

Hello,
Last weekend marked the start of wedding season in Colorado. I had the pleasure of photographing Jenny and Mathew's wedding at the St. Paul Catholic Church with the reception at the Broadmoor in Colorado Spring along with my good friends and wedding photographers Sean and Cathy Cayton.Cayton Photography
My favorite image from this entire wedding was when Jenny was standing alone in the hallway by herself before her parents arrived to walk her down the isle. She looked up into the light and boom it was over. When I ask her about that moment she said it was like talking with God.
Wedding planner Maggie Moran of Celebrations by Maggie did a wonderful job of coordinating all the details for this impressive celebration.Celebrations By Maggie

Goldie Hawn

Hello,
This week I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Goldie Hawn as part of the Unique Lives & Experiences lecture series.
She walk out on stage wearing suede Uggs and a black Prada cocktail dress. Mix 'n' match. She had a pair of sandals but she said the Uggs were too comfy.

Two fun days in Seattle

A couple of weekends ago, I traveled to Seattle with Geri and her friend, Amy. We stayed at the Sorrento Hotel near downtown, a four star European-style hotel. The Hotel drove us around in their British taxi whenever we wanted a ride. We were total tourists, eating at great fish restaurants near Pike's Place Market, riding the monorail to the Seattle Center to see the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, and a Denver Nuggets basketball game vs the Seattle Supersonics. Denver won!
Amy used to live there so she helped us find some cool places to visit off the beaten path, such as the Fremont neighborhood not too far from the University of Washington. It's kind of like going to Boulder.
Amy's sister and her family live in Seattle. Amy invited her niece and nephew, Chloe and Hugo to spend the night with her at the Sorrento.
We caught up with them the next morning at a nearby Starbucks. I made a handful of fun pictures as Chloe drew a self portrait including her missing front teeth.
Seattle is such a diverse city like San Francisco that I never get bored and I always look forward to returning.
Cheers, Kent

Colorado Rapids Home Opener 2007

I had so much fun at the home opener for the Rockies last week, I decide to photograph the Colorado Rapids, soccer, home opener at their new stadium, Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Saturday. Again I played around using my weird Lensbaby lens. It was cold, snowing and windy. The Rapids beat D.C. United 2-1.

Colorado Rockies Home Opener 2007

Hello, the Colorado Rockies opened their season at Coors Field Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks and lost 8-6. Last year I photographed the home opener using my lensbaby lens so I decided to do it again this year. It might just be a new tradition!
Enjoy, Kent
